During the escrow period, inspections, appraisals, and anything else built into the purchase agreement will take place. After you sign closing documents, your house funds and records with the county and ownership of the property is transferred to the  buyer. Don't forget to pass along all your keys, remotes, manuals and anything else you think might be helpful.
